Empire Journal #1 – I think I’ll send updates here

I have a lot of conversations about what I’m working on at the moment. It’s funny because I’ve been consistently working on projects for a very long time. As soon as one thing is done, I start on the next. For some, that might sound like a drag, but I love it. I usually work on a few things at a time. It’s not too hard for me to do, but it takes practice.

I’ve been thinking about ways to deliver updates on what I’m working on, and I figured this was the best way to do it. If you don’t know, I’ve been developing the rotating collective or music project Vince & The Valholla Empire for just over 3 years now, and I’m really in a groove. I’m focused on building our catalog, and it’s been fun to do from the ground up.

Three years ago, I started working on a new song, and it was unique because I wanted it in Spanish. So I had to not only find someone to translate the song, but also be authentic to Latin music. I had to have someone within the culture to help us craft the sound of the song, so I asked my friend Jordan to help with the direction of the sound. Once we had production, with help from AyeeJB of The Track Burnaz, we still needed the song translated, and I needed to find a vocalist.

It took months to finalize the translation, and we also got a demo recorded, so I started to search for someone who I thought could deliver on the vision I had.  A few weeks ago, we finished the song, and I can’t wait for the world to hear it. It’s called SIEMPRE (FOREVER) featuring Diana Saraa, and it drops on Tuesday (June 30). If you want to hear it early, pre-save it on Spotify HERE and reach out to me on any of our social profiles @vincevalholla or @vinceandthevalhollaempire.
