Artist Bio | Ron Slyda

Emerging hip-hop artist and Miami native Ron Slyda began his recording career in 2010, captivating the regional music scene with his introspective rhyme style, signature melodic flow and relentlessly honest lyrical content. Sonically influenced by the soul music of the 70s and 80s, Slyda’s lyrical inspirations range from 2Pac to Bobby Womack and include southern rap royalty 8Ball & MJG, Dungeon Family and UGK, citing pioneers NWA and DJ Quik for his rebel soulfulness. His debut mixtape “The Ratchett World of Ron Slyda” became an instant hood classic and solidified his street credibility, while the 2011 follow-up “The Rocket: A Musicool” catered to his growing internet fan base and showcased his innate artistic sensibility. The poetic emcee crafted the acclaimed LP “Blue Summer: Recollections of a Poetic Drunk,” garnering attention from notable DJs and influential industry tastemakers. Slyda’s street-savvy business skill and unwavering ambition led to working with popular 8&9 clothing and lifestyle brand, an exclusive development deal with videographer YoungWildPanda and most recently joining the management roster of branding powerhouse Valholla Entertainment. He continues to push creative and musical boundaries with his affiliate crew Slyda Music Group, and is exploring his expanding business opportunities.
