On May 21, 2023, recording artist/songwriter Pat Knox (born Patrick Knox) passed away. Before his untimely passing, he was hard at work on a new project. One of those he was working on was “Boulders” – a collaboration between Vince & The Valholla Empire, The Track Burnaz (Future, Big Sean, and more), Adam Dollar$, and White Gold (Eminem, Royce Da 5’9″ and more.) “Boulders” released on October 25th, and peaked at number 27 on the US iTunes Chart (Hip Hop/Rap).

The collaboration began with an idea from producer Vince Valholla to add Adam Dollar$ and White Gold and new production to The Track Burnaz’s early version of “Boulders.” Jordan Reinecke then came in to add guitars to the song. “I remember when we’re working on adding guitars, I kept the addition of the guitars a secret from Pat because I wanted him to hear it on the track completed,” Vince Valholla describes. “He heard the final version and loved it but I later found out from Pat’s father that he’s wanted to add guitars to his music for a long time.”

With the release of “Boulders,” Pat Knox’s legacy will continue, forever. “As a parent, you expose your children to the loves and joys of your lifetime, in hopes that bonds are made for the future. As life moves along, you become witness to instinctively natural skills, which are the trademarks of your child. For Patrick, becoming a song-writer, and performing on stage was his destiny.” – Donald Knox, Pat’s Father

“Shit happens in life… I get that. What’s in my head, y’all don’t know about. That’s why I wrote ‘Boulders”. If my music can help one person, then I’m happy… Then I’ve made my peace.” – Pat Knox

“Boulders” is out now via Pacific Wave Sound, LLC in partnership with Valholla Records.
