In mid-September, Carl Chery, Head of Artist Curation at Apple tweeted out that he was looking for someone to curate a Florida based playlist for Apple Music.

I started thinking about how there wasn’t a playlist effectively representing the music scene in Florida on all sides (the streets and the internet). I started thinking about how we could help change this so I partnered with a few curators to create a new playlist called This is Florida highlighting the best Hip Hop and R&B artists out of Florida.
The playlist will be updated weekly and can submit releases on Twitter or Instagram. Follow the Playlist on Apple Music, Spotify, and Tidal. Like the playlist? Spread the word about it. The goal is to highlight the best artists from Florida with an unbiased approach.
