Kirby Maurier and Vince Valholla Participates in The Recording Academy’s ‘In My District’ Campaign

On October 26, GRAMMY Amplifier winner, Valholla recording artist Kirby Maurier and Valholla Chairman/Chief Executive, Vince Valholla joined over 2000 creators for the largest grassroots movement for music in history. Grammys in My District, which begin two years ago is when artists and music professionals are sent to attend meetings at the offices of local elected officials, where they discuss their concerns and issues directly to lawmakers. It’s simple: show politicians how music-related legislation affects the bottom lines of everyday creators, not just the musical elite.

Kirby met with Congressman Alcee L. Hastings and Vince met with Congresswoman Frederica Wilson’s District Policy Assistant, Daphne Jean-Pierre. Here’s are some pics from this historic day! Shouts to everyone who participated. Find out more HERE.
