Is Apple moving to streaming original video content? According to the WSJ, Apple hired former Time Warner Cable exec Peter Stern as a vice president working on cloud services, which includes “and a potential streaming television service.”
This is great to see and shows that Apple is still focused on simply being the best. Apple Music has been a success story so far. They currently boast 17 million paying subscribers.
(Sidenote: Spotify just announced 40 million paying subscribers. Which is really impressive. But keep in mind that they are also out of contract with three major labels.)
Apple Music has been great so far. I’ve been using it since day one, and I love it.
