GRAMMY Amplifier® winner Kirby Maurier recently made a stop in Oakland for the GRAMMY Pro® Songwriters Summit presented by the San Francisco Chapter of The Recording Academy®. Kirby was featured alongside D’Wayne Wiggins of Tony! Toni! Toné! and Oakland blues musician Fantastic Negrito. GRAMMY® Award winner, Kevo, which is also a part of Kirby’s band backed her on guitar.
The three songwriters lead a session of music in the round share the stories behind the songs, their personal musical journeys, and insight into their songwriting processes. This night was truly electric and there’s so much more footage not captured in the video below.
