The Recording Academy has completed its annual screening process and for the first time in our 10 year history, one of our recording artists can potentially be a GRAMMY Nominee. Kirby Maurier’s independent debut album, “Doing The Most” was released on July 31st and was submitted to The Recording Academy for possible nomination in numerous categories.
Per GRAMMY rules, we can’t disclose the categories that she’s up for but we can say that it’s multiple album & song categories. Vegas Fontaine is also up for potential nomination for his work on Ky-Mani Marley’s “Maestro” album. We believe Kirby & Vegas has a great chance of being nominated but we’ll have to see on December 7th, 2015 when GRAMMY nominations are announced.
“Doing The Most” is one of the highest selling independent R&B albums in the South Atlantic Region and debuted at #162 on Soundscan’s Current R&B charts (US). “Doing The Most” is now available on all digital platforms. Physical albums available on Amazon.com
