There’s a couple artists out right now who try to capture the musical essence of the 90’s.
In this case, the group (or should I say band) Shy Girls does it well.
They recently opened up at a concert I went to and performed a pretty dope 30+ minute set.
I’ve never heard their music but there was 4 dudes on stage. One lead vocalist two guys to the side, one playing some kind of electronic drum set and another on keys.
But there was one other guy behind them, he was doing something and then he whips out a sax…
At this point I couldn’t wait to find out who they were.
The music reminds me of a super emotional 90’s music.
Dope vibes and instruments that give a new feel. Their EP, Timeshare is a great project.
If you’re into great music and instrumentation… Listen to it NOW.
Lets see what they do next… I am now a fan.
(Under Attack might be my favorite record from the EP)
