Indie Pop singer/songwriter Jack Boyd released his new single, “Are We Even Human”. The song serves as his first release since dropping his EP, ‘By Your Side’. Jack broke down the meaning of the single.
“Are We Even Human” to me is my way of trying to convey my everyday thoughts and feelings through my art. I feel I drew a lot of inspiration from psychedelic experiences as well as my point of view on society and the world around us. The statement “are we even human” to me is very blunt at first sight and I say it in the song with a sense of disappointment but I think it also goes much deeper in the question of like what it means to be a “human” and co exist with our fellow earthlings. I don’t feel this song is as personal as most of my songs in the way that I think anyone with a little bit of existential angst can relate with what I’m saying.”
