Exceptionally talented and beautiful, Kirby Maurier has an undeniable voice and magnetic personality. A truly gifted songwriter and vocalist, Kirby showcased her talent throughout high school and college and continued to follow her destiny when the option of pursuing a professional music career presented itself. Kirby crossed paths with the CEO of Valholla Entertainment, Vince Eyma at a networking event and was shortly thereafter signed to the label.
In the summer of 2008, Kirby Maurier was the co-author and featured vocalist behind “This Is The Life” by Valholla label mate Ramzez. “This Is The Life” quickly gained momentum with DJ’s throughout Miami, spinning the single in the hottest clubs, and being featured on South Florida radio stations such as 99Jamz, Power96, and internationally recognized by numerous stations throughout Japan. She was then featured on “Valholla Is The Future: Volume 1” beginning her journey of features on some of the most thematic music to be heard from South Florida’s independent urban market.
Her contributions continued throughout 2009 with several mixtape appearances including Phatz: Dope Boi Phresh, and 2010’s Phatz: Palm Trees and Bomb Weed Volume 1, and Ramzez: The Formula 2 as well as the collaboration with South Florida artist ATG on his smash single “Drunk Sex Part 3” and Poe Boy artist Ghostwridah’s “Look At Me Now”. In June 2010, Kirby recorded and released her breakthrough single “You” produced by Jackpot Music (credits include Michelle Williams, Rick Ross, Ne-Yo and Jessie McCartney). The single, off the upcoming EP Solid, is responsible for her win at the Best in Dade Awards for “Best Female R&B Artist” and the DJBooth.net nomination for “Best R&B Song Independent Female Artist”. Crediting her popular YouTube channel, Kirby was the first artist to ever be named “Talent of the Week” twice by viral video giant WorldStarHipHop.
